Q: I am sore after my workouts, is this normal?
A: Some muscle soreness and fatigue experienced 24 to 48 hours after your workout is completely normal. This soreness usually decreases after 72 hours. What is not normal is any kind of sharp pain that continues. You should see your doctor for this. Soreness usually occurs when you begin an exercise program as the muscles are unconditioned, or if you have increased the intensity of your workout. Begin any kind of exercise program slowly and gradually build up. Also, remember to warm up and cool down for 5 to 10 minutes before and after exercise.
